Compton Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month!

Background:
During the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, September 9, Mayor Emma Sharif announced the highlight event of the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration will be held on Saturday, October 4, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the MLK Monument at City Hall (205 S. Willowbrook Ave.) The Compton community is invited to join for this day of cultural appreciation and unity.
Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, Compton community will also highlight Latino-owned businesses, sharing their stories and celebrating their vital role in driving local economic growth. These spotlights will showcase the entrepreneurial spirit and resilience that make our Hispanic community so remarkable.
The City of Compton looks forward to celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and invites all residents to participate in the upcoming events and festivities.
