In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we want to share that our new and returning member, Community Legal Aid SoCal (CLA SoCal) offers free services at the Domestic Violence Clinics in Compton and Whittier Courthouses to those who qualify.
Community Legal Aid SoCal advocates have extensive experience assisting and representing victims and survivors of domestic violence who qualify for services.
Domestic violence (DV) can take many forms: physical, sexual, emotional, financial, or verbal abuse. It can also look like neglect, such as barring access to food, money, or other necessities.
CLA SoCal advocates can assist survivors of DV by helping them navigate the legal system and by providing holistic support, including case management services, to address the full scope of challenges they may be experiencing. By focusing on the needs of the entire family, advocates ensure that clients have a plan to move forward once their initial legal requirements have been met.
Advocates at the Domestic Violence Clinics are ready to support survivors with clear, compassionate legal guidance—whether they are seeking a restraining order, safety planning resources, or help understanding the court process.
Those who need assistance with domestic violence, including obtaining a restraining order, can call the CLA SoCal hotline at (714) 571-5200 or visit one of the walk-in clinic locations below:
