What Is Court Commons?

Court Commons is a pop-up community resource center developed by the Superior Court of Los Angeles County to:
Demystify the court system
Foster civic engagement
Build trust between the judiciary and the community
Promote equal access to justice
The Superior Court of Los Angeles County is bringing Court Commons to Compton as part of a community outreach effort focused on clarity, transparency, and public understanding.
Housed in a custom-built modular trailer that expands into 2,000 square feet of interactive exhibition space, Court Commons brings court services, information, and engagement directly to the public.
For many residents, the court system can feel complex and difficult to navigate. Court Commons is designed to break that down in plain language. This is a free public service event where community members can learn how the courts operate, what to expect in common legal situations, and where to find reliable information if they ever need it.
There is no cost to attend. No registration required. Just information, access, and open dialogue with on-site court staff.
