Utility Users Tax (UUT) Exemption – City of Compton
The City of Compton imposes a 10% Utility Users Tax on water service charges. Exemptions include non-“persons,” government agencies, federal credit unions, certain insurers, and low-income seniors (62+) or disabled residents. To apply—no mail/email/fax—visit the Treasurer’s Office with your recent utility bills, proof of income, and photo ID. No refunds without a filed exemption form. Contact the City Controller for details.

Housing Rehabilitation Assistance in Compton: A Lifeline for Homeowners
The City of Compton’s 2025 Housing Rehabilitation Program helps low- to moderate-income homeowners—including seniors, veterans, and disabled residents—make critical home repairs, energy upgrades, and accessibility improvements.
