The Compton Chamber of Commerce addresses questions surrounding the proposed $85,000 Sister Cities appropriation, explains the program’s decades-long history in Compton and outlines how the funding is intended to support administration, international engagement, business development, education, workforce and youth initiatives. The Chamber welcomes public scrutiny while emphasizing transparency, accountability and factual discussion.

Compton residents are invited to help define the experience, leadership abilities, and proven results the City should require from its next City Manager. Community priorities include fiscal responsibility, reliable public services, public safety, infrastructure and El Niño preparedness, business growth, accountability, and affordable housing. Attend the town hall September 16, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers or participate through Zoom.
