With open hearts and a strong desire to serve, the Naylors bring fresh energy and a spirit of connection to their new role in the city of Compton.

The Compton Chamber warmly welcomes Gary and Kathy Naylor, new owners of the Compton Grocery Outlet.

On Monday, July 21, 2025, Gary and Kathy hosted a heartfelt Meet & Greet event at the store, inviting residents to stop by, get to know them, and celebrate a new chapter for the Grocery Outlet. Their warm hospitality and community-first approach were felt by all who attended.

Gary Naylor, a Los Angeles native with over three decades of experience in the retail industry, now fulfills a longtime dream of owning his own store. Together with his wife Kathy, the Naylors are committed to continuing the legacy of excellence and community care established by former owner Eugene. Gary shared, “We’re here to do a good job and serve the community… and we’re trying to embed ourselves into the community.”

We applaud their dedication to listening, serving, and growing alongside the residents of Compton. The Chamber encourages everyone to stop by, meet the Naylors, and extend a warm Compton welcome.
