About EntreNous Community Empowerment


Founded in 2012, EntreNous Community Empowerment is a Compton-based nonprofit empowering communities through holistic support rooted in respect, care, and compassion. The organization is dedicated to creating pathways to employment, education, and personal growth for individuals in underserved communities, helping them build sustainable futures for themselves and their families.




Operating from their location at 1108 N. Oleander Avenue, Compton, CA 90222, EntreNous delivers a wide range of essential services, including workforce and leadership development, case management, life coaching, mental health support, high school diploma attainment, community violence interruption, and court advocacy. Their comprehensive approach ensures individuals receive not only resources—but also guidance, stability, and a renewed sense of purpose.





History & Impact


Since its founding, EntreNous Community Empowerment has supported over 2,000 individuals, providing access to meaningful opportunities for growth and long-term success. Their holistic model continues to empower participants to build stronger futures while contributing to a more just and equitable community.



Their impact is reflected in measurable outcomes:

  • 77% of participants earn industry-recognized credentials

  • Alumni achieve an average wage of $16.64, exceeding state and national benchmarks

  • Over 120+ mental health services delivered

  • More than 1,560+ volunteer hours contributed

  • 85% of participants engage in post-secondary education or career pathways



Programs & Opportunities


As a proud affiliate of YouthBuild Global, EntreNous provides structured pathways for individuals ages 16–24+ to pursue education, employment, entrepreneurship, and leadership development.





Impactful Bites – Hospitality & Culinary Arts Program

A hands-on program that equips participants with essential skills in food safety, nutrition, proper food handling, and food preparation—while earning industry-recognized credentials in the culinary field.


EntreNous partners with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) to deliver skills-based training in six work-ready competency areas defined by the restaurant industry. Participants can earn nationally recognized certificates, including NRAEF’s Restaurant Ready certificate for workplace readiness.

Constructing Success Academy – Apprenticeship Readiness Program

Designed to prepare participants for entry into the workforce and post-secondary education, this program builds the knowledge, skills, and readiness needed to succeed in today’s evolving job market.


EntreNous provides participants with hands-on work experience, valuable skills

and industry-recognized credentials (Multi-Craft Core Curriculum) to improve

opportunities for a sustainable life, specifically in union apprenticeships. Participants

not only build affordable housing, they build self-esteem, self-worth and hope.
