City of Compton, For the Love of Our Veterans and Compton Chamber of Commerce Partner for 23rd Annual Compton Veterans Stand Down
COMPTON, Calif. — The City of Compton, For the Love of Our Veterans and the Compton Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with veteran service organizations, government agencies, community organizations and volunteers, will come together for the 23rd Annual Compton Veterans Stand Down, taking place Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, 2026, in Compton.
This year's Stand Down reflects a collaborative partnership between the City of Compton, For the Love of Our Veterans and the Compton Chamber of Commerce, working together with government agencies, veteran service organizations, community partners and volunteers to connect veterans and their families with critical services, resources and support.
This year's Stand Down will include medical and behavioral health services, housing navigation, veterans benefits and support services, on-site Social Security services, employment assistance through EDD, legal services, chiropractic services, veteran transportation and clothing distribution. A Resource Village featuring 50 confirmed vendors will connect veterans with additional services and assistance.
Resources will also extend to veteran families through a Kids' Corner providing children's clothing, toys and books.
