Over the past year, our country has been challenged in ways few could have planned for, or even imagined. From our public health, to our economy, to our politics, the road to recovery starts with healing a divided America. The Compton business community can and must rally our nation around a series of solutions to overcome the pandemic and drive a widespread economic recovery.
As we chart the path ahead into 2021, the Compton Chamber of Commerce will be bringing a series of events and reports early next year.
Our Annual General Assembly Meeting will take place in the first quarter of 2021. This is when the new board members will be sworn in and installed. Depending on the state of the pandemic, and the health guidelines introduced by the California State Government, we will decide to hold this event either in person or virtually online. We will announce the date shortly.
Early 2021, the Chamber will organize a series of business development forums. These forums will be designed to help businesses cope through the struggles of COVID-19. Given the challenges our by under-served community and businesses experienced in 2020, these coming forums may be the most important to date. We will announce the dates shortly.
With an unwavering commitment to our Mission, the Compton Chamber of Commerce continues to be a strong advocate for our business community. We work closely with all levels of government on issues that affect our members. The Chamber's Government Affairs Committee takes a proactive approach to the challenges that could positively or negatively affect the viability of businesses in our community.
In our 100th year of operation, we aim to be the stable connector of choice for our community. Our networking events bring large groups of business and industry leaders as well as government officials together to provide a forum for you to strengthen and grow your business.
