About HOPICS
HOPICS (Homeless Outreach Program Integrated Care System) is actively involved in developing permanent supportive housing (PSH) units to assist individuals experiencing homelessness, particularly those with histories of high utilization of county mental or healthcare services. These units provide onsite intensive case management services aimed at reducing barriers and supporting residents directly in their homes.
HOPICS Operations
In Compton, HOPICS operates a 40-unit non-congregate shelter known as the Lemon House program, which serves homeless and chronically homeless families in Service Planning Area 6. This program offers crisis housing units and is managed by HOPICS to provide immediate shelter and support services to families in need.
This program is hiring an the Interim Housing Program Manager who is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day program management operations of the Lemon House shelter, a Project Home key family housing program.

Additionally, HOPICS has been involved in the development of the Dolores Huerta Apartments, a 40-unit permanent supportive housing project located at 5215 South Figueroa Street in Los Angeles. This project was built with a $6.6 million investment from the SDS Supportive Housing Fund and provides housing for formerly unhoused individuals. HOPICS offers onsite case management and counseling services to residents, with a dedicated case manager living onsite to ensure accessibility and support.
These initiatives reflect HOPICS' commitment to the "housing first" model, providing various forms of housing—including emergency, interim, and permanent options—and a holistic approach to healing the community through therapeutic treatment programs that address trauma, substance use, and outpatient care.
