Compton Unified Superintendent Dr. Darin Brawley has received the prestigious 2026 Harold W. McGraw, Jr. Prize in the Pre-K–12 Education category. The national honor recognizes his leadership in CUSD’s transformation, including a graduation-rate increase from 58% to 94%. He will receive $50,000 and be formally honored at the McGraw Prize ceremony on November 10 in New York City.
