Compton Honors Our Heroes at the 22nd Annual Veterans Stand Down
The Compton Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted the 22nd Annual Veterans Stand Down, serving 350 veterans with medical care, housing aid, meals, and support. With 75 vendors, VA transportation, and a keynote by Christine White of VA Long Beach, the three-day event offered dignity, hope, and community. Mayor Emma Sharif welcomed attendees, and the City of Compton aired highlights on Channel 36.

22nd Annual "Compton Veterans Stand Down" Is Scheduled For September 20-22, 2025
The Compton Chamber of Commerce presents the 22nd Annual Compton Veterans Stand Down, a 3-day overnight event from Sept 20–22, 2025, at 700 N. Bullis Rd. It provides food, shelter, clothing, health, legal, housing, and employment services to veterans and their families. Coordinated with local agencies and nonprofits, the event promotes dignity, support, and empowerment. Donations can be sent via Zelle® to veteranslove1@gmail.com.
