THE AI BUBBLE: WHY MORE THAN $1 TRILLION PRODUCED SO LITTLE
Ed Zitron argues that today’s AI boom is built on unsustainable economics: more than $1 trillion in infrastructure spending has produced limited revenue, unreliable products and no true intelligence. He questions $20 subscriptions, circular financing, hallucinations, shallow “deep research” and claims that AI will replace white-collar workers. Zitron predicts the bubble could begin unraveling by mid-2027, with consequences extending far beyond Silicon Valley.
