Compton Chamber of Commerce welcomes Footlocker in the City of Compton. And on behalf of business community and the residents of greater Compton, we sincerely commend Foot Locker for hiring local talent within a five-mile radius of the store.
During the August 25th ribbon cutting event, Lladon Cook, the Footlocker store manager (left, holding the plaque) and Ken Side, VP of the LA GEO – Foot Locker (first from right) have been presented with the "Chamber Membership" plaque by our own Dr. Lestean M. Johnson, Chamber President (second from right).
Present at the grand opening were honorable Mayor Aja Brown and honorable members of the Compton City Council.
Foot Locker’s newest location is far more than a venue for slinging sneakers. Instead, the company’s first crisp, clean and undeniably massive Los Angeles community store will act as a hub for local consumers, families and artists. The new store offers exclusive products, artwork by local artists, a curbside pickup window, and will host regularly community events.
