Going Forward With The "Compton Chamber Pantry" Program In 2021

 

In the light of the current circumstances related to the pandemic, Compton Chamber of Commerce in co-operation with the city decided to go on with the pantry operation. We are committed to ensure that everyone in our community has access to fresh nutritious food, during and after pandemic.

 

During the last few months, we have been tirelessly working with the city officials to find a new location that fits the needs of the large scale pantry operation. The city leadership has committed to the new "permanent" location for the pantry to be the Lueders Park Community CenterThe new location is located at 1500 East Rosecrans Ave. in Compton.

  • The "Compton Chamber Pantry" resumed its operations at the new site on Monday, March 1st, 2021.

  • The first food pick-up date open to public was Wednesday, March 4th, 2021.

  • The curb-side food distribution hours at the new site are from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on following days of the week: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

  • Participating churches and other partner food distribution operations throughout the City of Compton pick up their supplies on Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Co-operation between Comfort Keto and the Compton Chamber of Commerce in 2021

Compton Chamber of Commerce believes that the underserved communities can be changed sustainably by this one core objective: Saving lives by eating better.

In 2021, Compton Chamber of Commerce will be partnering with Comfort Keto to introduce pre-cooked heat-and-eat ketogenic meals to the staff members of major businesses, governmental agencies and organizations operating in the greater Compton area.

The joint objective of Comfort Keto and the Compton Chamber of Commerce is to enhance the health status of professional workers and civil servants of the region by providing freshly prepared, nutritious, and affordable low-carb heat-n-eat meals delivered to the work location of clients on a weekly basis.
