Compton Sheriff's Dept. Answers a Different Call: Assisting Chamber's Food Pantry

Updated: Jan 14, 2021

As Compton residents stay at home amid the coronavirus clampdown, food pantries throughout our city are seeing a significant surge of need. In order to ease the situation in the greater Compton region, the Compton Chamber of Commerce set up a Food Pantry serving our Seniors, Disabled Residents, and Veterans during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

And this time around, the Compton Sheriff Deputies are answering a different call, assisting the Chamber's food pantry, fighting to serve during coronavirus threat.

The City of Compton and the Compton Sheriff's department as a whole is going through a difficult period and our city, which is one of the more challenged communities within the Los Angeles County as we see it, needs all the help they can get. So, several Sheriff Deputies helped pack things up.

We are so grateful to our community partners for helping us ensure uninterrupted service to people in need in our city. We cannot begin to describe how touched we are by the Compton Sheriff's Deputies who offered their support. Thank you so much for your dedication, hard work, and generosity! We feel very fortunate to be a part of this bighearted and generous community.

THANK YOU!
