Compton Chamber of Commerce invites all community members to check out the new Compton Food Pantry section on our website – a collection of insights, program updates and future plans in regards to our combat against food insecurity in the greater Compton region.
In the Compton Food Pantry section, you will find the story of the Compton Food Pantry program, how the program started, the Chamber's managerial and operational role in making the program a success, the dedicated volunteers without whom this program would not have achieved the monumental task of serving 10,000 people in need every month, as well as how the program will continue serving our community in the years to come.
In the new Compton Food Pantry section of our website, we are sharing with you a series of photographs and videos, all captured by our volunteers. You will gain insight about the logistics of our large scale food pantry operation. You will also see what it takes to receive, inspect, sort, portion and prepare the donated food and hygiene items for curb-side distribution.
