Compton Chamber of Commerce is the premier business network in the City of Compton. The chamber serves as a local organization of businesses whose goal is to further the collective interests of its member businesses, while advancing the Compton community, Gateway region, Los Angeles County and our state California.
Our Chamber is formed primarily by the business owners from greater Compton area in order to advocate on behalf of the business community. Local and regional businesses, non-profits, quasi-public and public sector employers are voluntary paying members of our chamber.
In recent weeks, it came to our attention, that some Compton based community groups and non-profit organizations, both self appointed or officially established entities, have attempted to pull Compton Chamber of Commerce into issues involving conflict matters which are out of the chamber's area of concern. We strongly denounce such attempts. With this statement, we want to set the record straight once and for all.
As an independent and autonomous business society, Compton Chamber of Commerce is not affiliated with any other non-profits, or public benefit organizations. Our organization has never taken, or will never take sides in any conflict between any such organizations and community groups.
Our primary goals is to help further the interests of businesses of all sizes in the local area. The extent of our activities range from hosting events, to lobbying local representatives, to charitable works for the betterment of the greater Compton community.
